Welcome to my main weekly series note on Friday Feet. This note serves as the informational note for Friday Feet. If you want to see the posts and don’t need the explanation, you can see all the combined posts on the Weekly Series Tag, or you can see all the other Weekly Series I am working on.

Friday Feet Series

Friday Feet is a weekly photo series on my blog that captures where our feet have taken us by the end of the week. On Friday (or some Fridays), I share a photograph that features feet or shoes in a specific location—serving as a visual record of the places we’ve been, whether far from home or right in our backyard.

Series History

The series started with a simple idea back in 2008: take the classic “foot shot” that was popular on blogs and photo-sharing sites at the time, and give it a consistent home on Fridays. The very first post described it as a way to highlight how we’re all in different places every week, and how something as ordinary as your feet can tell part of that story.

Over the years, Friday Feet has become a personal tradition—a casual but creative way to mark time, place, and movement. Some photos are spontaneous travel moments, others are quiet reflections of everyday life. All of them remind me that photography doesn’t have to be complicated to be meaningful.
