This project is one that takes a look at abandoned structures and locations in the rural areas near to where I live.

This abandoned gas station sits as it did one the day it was closed. It's well maintained on the perimeter grass making stand out among the surroundings. (view full res)

This project is one that takes a look at abandoned structures and locations in the rural areas near to where I live. I like to label this Rural Decay Photography after the maybe more famous sibling Urban Decay Photography just in a remote setting.

Most of the images in this project will be in the immediate surrounding areas of where I live, Lee County Alabama, near the Auburn/Opelika area. As with my other projects on this site I will continue add images and remove images to this project as an ongoing edit. This is a static page where this project will reside while I work on it and hone it down to the very best images, hopefully in a unique and artist way that tells the story of these structures in the south.
